BALTIC VET SKILLS

BalticVetSkills_with-flags

Baltic VET competition is a international contest for VET students to better prepare for international Euroskills and Worldskills competitions. Students from several vocational colleges from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will come together to contest on 21-22th of February in Tartu Vocational College in Tartu, Estonia.

The Kaunas Food Industry and Trade Training Centre, through an Erasmus project, has organized a competition to support young professionals in the Baltic states. The competition, held in the categories of butchers, chefs, and pastry chefs, aims to showcase their skills in various challenges.

For example, participants will need to prepare a three-course lunch and work with a given recipe using surprise ingredients that will be revealed during the event. An international panel of judges will assess the participants’ performances. The competition aims to identify a promising young professional in each category who is under 22 years old and attending a vocational school in one of the Baltic states.

The first competition took place in Lithuania in 2021, on the previous year took place in Latvia and now it is time to show skills here in Estonia. Although the competition project has ended, the format remains the same for future competitions.

We are waiting for students from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to compete in three competition areas:
